[Tweet] Chelsea Star Offers Positive Injury Update On Twitter
Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois has taken to Twitter to share a positive update to his followers as he continues to recover from a serious knee injury.
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has taken to his Twitter account to share a positive update to his followers as he continues to recover from a serious knee injury.
The Belgian international hasn’t featured for the Premier League champions since the defeat to Crystal Palace in late August after being ruled out for at least four months having damaged ligaments in his knee.
The 23-year-old has been keeping fans updated on his rehabilitation with regular posts on social media sites and the keeper has offered the latest on his recovery with another post on Twitter last night.
Courtois confirmed that he’s taken the next step in his rehab and is feeling good in training, but acknowledged that he still has a lot of work to do before he’ll be ready to return to first team action.
He tweeted:
Next step in rehab today, good feeling in training. Still have to work hard before I will be playing again, but it’s coming closer!
There is little doubt that Chelsea have sorely missed Courtois in recent months and Jose Mourinho must be counting the days until his number one is available again, so he will be delighted to hear his recovery is going well.
Asmir Begovic has been deputising between the sticks but the team have struggled badly so far this season with the defending champions sitting way down in 16th position in the table so Courtois’ return can’t come soon enough.
Next step in rehab today, good feeling in training. Still have to work hard before I will be playing again, but it's coming closer! #CFC
