Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs Set For Transfer Battle As Club Confirms Target Can Leave
Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are set to battle-it-out over the signing of N’Golo Kante after Leicester City confirmed the midfielder can leave this summer
The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal have been boosted in their pursuit of N’Golo Kante…
Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are set to battle-it-out over the signing of N’Golo Kante after Leicester City confirmed the midfielder can leave this summer as long as a replacement is found, according to the Mirror.
Kante has been a revelation at the King Power since joining Leicester in a £5.6m deal from Caen last summer with the 25-year-old a major driving force behind the Foxes sensational march towards the Premier League title this season.
The French international’s superb performances in the middle of the park have saw him named on the six-man PFA Player of the Year shortlist while he was also named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
After such an impressive season, Kante is understandably attracting interest from some of Europe’s most powerful clubs with the Mirror claiming Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are among those who’ve expressed an interest in signing the midfielder.
The London trio have now been handed a major boost as the newspaper reports that Leicester have now told Kante he’s free to leave at the end of the season as long as Claudio Ranieri can find a suitable replacement.
The Foxes boss admitted recently that while he’d love Kante to remain at the King Power this summer, the club will consider cashing-in if a ‘big’ team tables a tempting offer.
‘I think he [Kante] should rest [stay] here, he’s working very well,’ Ranieri is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
‘But if big teams arrive that will give us a lot of money, maybe we can think about it, if he’s not happy here and wants to go. ‘I don’t want sad people here – I want my players to be happy.’
Kante would be an excellent signing for any club this summer but it looks as though Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs are set to battle-it-out over his signature at the end of the season.
Gunners fans have been crying out for Arsene Wenger to spend some of the clubs vast cash reserves on top class players after seeing their title bid once again fall short and Kante would give Arsenal some much-needed depth in midfield with Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini set to leave in June.
Chelsea are ready to overhaul their squad after a disastrous campaign and in-coming boss Antonio Conte could certainly do with a tireless worker like Kante to compliment the talents of Cesc Fabregas in the middle of the park.
Tottenham have enjoyed an excellent season but with Champions League football to contend with next year, Mauricio Pochettino is going to have to strengthen his squad and Kante would fit in well with the North Londoners hard working approach.

So all three London clubs could certainly benefit from signing the French international this summer so it’s going to be interesting to see where he ends up, if Kante does decide to seek a new challenge at the end of the season.
