Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is set to revert back to his first choice line-up when the Reds entertain Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday night. Here is predicted team:
Goalkeeper: Klopp has suggested he will play his first choice tomorrow and then perhaps rest his key men at the weekend so I expect Simon Mignolet to start against Chelsea.
Defence: The Reds boss will therefore make plenty of changes from the side that beat Watford on Sunday afternoon with Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren and Kolo Toure all set for recalls after being rested at the weekend.
Alberto Moreno is the only player who’ll keep his place in the back four with Jon Flanagan, Lucas Leiva and Martin Skrtel all dropping out.
Midfield: There will be changes in midfield too as Emre Can and James Milner should come back in to the starting eleven with Kevin Stewart and Joe Allen perhaps unfortunate to be dropped after impressive showings against the Hornets last time out.
Jordan Henderson is back in light training as he looks to get back to full fitness ahead of the Europa League final next week but this game will obviously come too soon.
Attack: Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana will get recalls to the attack with Jordon Ibe and Sheyi Ojo dropping out while Daniel Sturridge should come back in to spearhead the strike-force with Christian Benteke axed to the bench.
Klopp has praised Philippe Coutinho’s fitness levels so the Brazilian could start his third game in a row.
Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:
What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
