Liverpool will look to build on their impressive win over Leicester City when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Friday night. Here is the side we think Jurgen Klopp will select:
Goalkeeper: Loris Karius is fully fit after recovering from a broken hand but Klopp is still expected to stick with Simon Mignolet between the sticks tomorrow night.
Defence: Dejan Lovren has been passed fit to start after missing the 4-1 victory over Leicester with an eye injury so Lucas Leiva is expected to make way. Joel Matip will keep his place with Ragnar Klavan set to be named among the substitutes.
James Milner appears to have cemented himself as Klopp’s first choice left-back so expect the versatile Englishman to start ahead of Alberto Moreno while Nathaniel Clyne will keep his place at right-back.
Midfield: Emre Can has returned to full training but he’s still lacking match practice so won’t be in contention just yet meaning Klopp is expected to name an unchanged midfield trio of Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana in the middle of the park.
Attack: Daniel Sturridge was drafted in to lead the line against Leicester but I think we’ll see Klopp revert to playing Firmino through the middle tomorrow as he’s done for the majority of tricky away games.
Philippe Coutinho is therefore expected to get a recall in attack while Sadio Mane should keep his place after another impressive run out last weekend.
Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:
