[Video Goals] Man Utd 4-1 West Ham: Zlatan & Martial On Target As Utd Reach Last 4

By on November 30, 2016

Manchester United booked their place in the semi finals of the EFL Cup after easing to a 4-1 victory over West Ham at Old Trafford tonight.

United came flying out the blocks and opened the scoring inside two minutes as Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s clever back-heel released Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Swedish hitman cooly chipped over Adrian for 1-0.

The hosts dominated but were punished for not getting the second goal when David De Gea’s rare error gifted West Ham an equaliser just before half time as Ashley Fletcher was on hand to tap home after the United No.1 spilled Dimitri Payet’s effort.

However, United restored their lead just minutes after the restart with Antonio Valencia finding Mkhitaryan with a back-heel and the Armenian international found Anthony Martial who fired home for 2-1 in the 47th minute.

The Red Devils then extended their advantage when Valencia found Martial with a pin-point cross and the Frenchman swept home unmarked to make it 3-1 before Ibrahimovic got his second of the night with a last minute tap in to book United’s place in the last four.
