Key Man Returns As Guardiola Makes 2 Changes: Predicted Man City XI vs Tottenham

Manchester City will be looking to get their season back on track following their disastrous defeat at Everton when they take on Tottenham at the Etihad on Saturday evening. Here is the side we think Pep Guardiola will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Claudio Bravo came under fresh criticism following his display during the 4-0 loss at Goodison Park but he’s currently Guardiola’s No.1 and is expected to start once again this weekend.

Defence: John Stones was also called out for his poor performance against Everton and the youngster was heavily criticised by several leading pundits. However, Guardiola is likely to give the England international a chance to redeem himself against Spurs on Saturday.

Pablo Zabaleta has been playing further forward in recent games but the skipper may move to his more familar role at right-back with Bacary Sagna dropping out while Alexandre Kolarov may replace Gael Clichy at left-back.

Vincent Kompany remains out with a knee injury which has hampered him in recent weeks so Nicolas Otamendi will continue in the heart of defence.

Midfield: City are set to be handed a major boost with Fernando expected to recover form a knock to return in midfield and his availability will be important with Fernandinho still out through suspension.

Ilkay Gundogan has been cruelly ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee ligament injury so Yaya Toure should be given another chance to impress in the middle of the park.

Attack: Sergio Ageuro’s inconsistent form continued with a poor showing last time out so City’s top scorer will be keen to get back on track this weekend and he should keep his place up front. New signing Gabriel is available to make his debut but the Brazilian is likely to start from the bench.

Raheem Sterling should also continue in attack along with David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne but the likes of Leroy Sane and Jesus Navas are available if Guardiola decides to mix things up.

Here is how I think we’ll see City line-up:
