[Tweet] Terry & Batshuayi Send Messages To Alonso After Chelsea Beat Tottenham

John Terry and Michy Batshuayi have sent messages to Marcos Alonso after the full-back scored both goals during Chelsea 2-1 victory over Tottenham at Wembley this afternoon.
Alonso opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick midway through the first half as he gave Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris no chance with a curler that found the top corner in the 24th minute.
Tottenham levelled things up in the 82nd minute thanks to a Batshuayi own goal but Alonso secured Chelsea all three points after firing home the winner with just 2 minutes remaining.
Understandably, Batshuayi was grateful to his team mate for saving his blushes and the striker took to Twitter to thank Alonso and his left foot and bailing him out today.
Former skipper Terry ended his long association with Chelsea this summer after joining Aston Villa on a free transfer but the centre-back proved he’s still a Chelsea fan deep down after taking to Instagram to send Alonso a blue heart.
The win was an important one for the defending champions following their opening weekend defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge so Antonio Conte will be hoping this result will kick-start their campaign.

Could have been worse… thankfully this team has incredible ressources, and @marcosalonso03 left foot ? let the season starts now ? #KTBFF
