Man Utd Launch Audacious Swoop For £35m Brazilian Attacker

Deadline day is here and managers are frantically trying to get those last minute deals over the line so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd are linked with Willian….
Manchester United have launched an audacious attempt to sign £35m-rated Chelsea attacker Willian on transfer deadline day, according to a report in the Express.
Jose Mourinho has said all summer that he wanted to sign another wide attacker to complete what he described as his perfect summer having already snapped-up Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku.
The Red Devils have been linked with a whole host of names around Europe but have struggled to agree terms over any deals so it looked as though Mourinho would have to make-do with just three signings this summer.
However, it seems the Portuguese coach has made one last attempt to secure another attacker as the Express are citing a report from The Sun that claims United have made a shock late offer to sign Willian.
The newspaper doesn’t state how much United have put on the table but they suggest it would take a fee of around £35m to persuade Chelsea to sell – which sounds like a bargain in today’s market.
Mourinho obviously knows Willian well as he won the title with the Brazilian international during their time together at Stamford Bridge and it looks like he’s hoping for a reunion at Old Trafford.
However, I’d be shocked if Chelsea agreed to sell Willian so late in the window as Antonio Conte is desperate to strengthen his squad, not reduce it, so it would be a surprise if he sold the 29-year-old.

But Willian would be an excellent signing for United if Mourinho could somehow pull it off before the window slams shut at 11pm tonight.
