Arsenal Team News: Wenger Reveals Key Duo Are Fitness Doubts To Face Chelsea
Arsene Wenger gave a team news update ahead of Arsenal’s trip across London to take on Chelsea and it looks like they have doubts over two key men.
Arsenal will be looking to make it three wins on the spin when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners beat Bournemouth at the Emirates last weekend and opened their Europa League campaign with a 3-1 comeback victory over Cologne last night.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Arsene Wenger gave a team news update ahead of their trip across London to take on Chelsea and it looks like Arsenal have doubts over two key men.
Wenger made wholesale changes to his starting eleven against Cologne with Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil among seven key first team players who were given the night off.
Many thought the pair were simply rested but it seems they were in fact also carrying knocks as Wenger says the duo will need to be assessed ahead of their trip to Stamford Bridge.
The Arsenal boss didn’t divulge any further details on what type of injury either player is carrying but Wenger did appear confident both Ramsey and Ozil would be available for selection this weekend.

Arsenal fans will be praying the pair are passed fit as it would be a huge blow for the north Londoners if either Ramsey or Ozil were ruled out for this crucial game.
The Gunners have endured a mixed start to the new season having suffered disappointing defeats away to Stoke and Liverpool so they’ll need their strongest side available if they want to take anything away from the defending champions.
