Chelsea Team News: Conte Offers Injury Update On Kante, Moses & Drinkwater
Antonio Conte has offered an injury update on N’Golo Kante, Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Bournemouth
Chelsea will be looking to give their title hopes a major boost when they take on AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court on Saturday afternoon.
Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference today and he’s given reporters a team news and injury update.
The Blues boss confirmed that Victor Moses and N’Golo Kante will once again miss out this weekend through injury while Conte also cast doubt over the fitness of Danny Drinkwater.
Moses has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury against Crystal Palace earlier this month and the Nigerian international will continue on the sidelines this weekend.
Kante has missed the last four games after suffering a hamstring while away with the France squad during the last international break and there were hopes he may be back in the squad after being spotted in training yesterday.
However, Conte says Kante is still not ready to return against Bournemouth this weekend but he hopes to have the midfielder back in contention for the trip to Roma in the Champions League next week.
Drinkwater finally made his long-awaited debut with a run-out in the League Cup win over Everton in midweek after overcoming a calf issue that’s plagued him since he joined the club in the summer.
However, Conte has claimed that Drinkwater is still not considered fully fit as the England international still needs to find the right ‘physical condition’ after such a long time on the sidelines.
Conte told reporters:
Antonio Conte says Moses and Kante are still unavailable for tomorrow's game. He hopes to have Kante back for Roma.

Chelsea head in to the weekend action sitting fourth in the Premier League table but with nine points separating them from leaders Man City, Conte knows his side need a win tomorrow to keep their title hopes alive.
