Chelsea will be looking to keep the pressure on the top two when they take on Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s offered a team news and injury update.

The Blues boss confirmed a major injury blow with the news that David Luiz is unavailable for selection tomorrow night after picking up a knee injury.

Luiz was axed for the visit of Manchester United earlier this month and after being recalled for the Champions League win over Qarabag, he was back on the bench for the 4-0 victory over West Brom.

The Brazilian international continued to be among the substitutes for the 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Saturday and it looks like he’s now set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee problem.

Conte confirmed that Luiz will join Charly Musonda, Michy Batshuayi and Kenedy in missing the Swansea game but was unable to give any indication as to how long the centre-back will be out for.

However, there was better news regarding Victor Moses as the midfielder is now back in contention for a starting spot after recovering from a niggling hamstring injury.

Moses was an unused substitute against Liverpool after returning to the bench at the weekend having missed Chelsea’s previous eight games but the 26-year-old is now poised for a recall tomorrow night.

Conte told reporters:

Chelsea head in to the midweek action sitting third in the table but are just three points adrift of second-placed Man Utd so Conte will be keen to close that gap with a win over Swansea.
