Manchester United will be looking to book their place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup when they take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate this evening.

Jose Mourinho has made wholesale changes to his starting eleven with several of his first team regulars given a rest ahead of Saturday’s trip to Leicester City.

Sergio Romero comes in between the sticks while Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind all get recalls in defence.

Youngster Scott McTominay gets a chance to impress in midfield alongside Paul Pogba, who is available again after serving a three-match suspension, with Ander Herrera among the substitutes.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes his first start of the season with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial offering support in attack meaning Henrikh Mkhitaryan must make do with a place on the bench.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Bristol

Steele, Wright, Flint, Baker, Magnusson, Brownhill, Smith, Pack, Bryan, Paterson, Reid

Subs: Fielding, Vyner, Kelly, Eliasson, Garita, Lemonheigh-Evans, Taylor

Man Utd
