Chelsea cemented their position in the top four of the Premier League table with a 2-0 victory over Brighton at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
The Blues dominated the opening forty-five minutes but they couldn’t break down the visitors defence so the two sides went in to half-time all square.
However, Chelsea finally broke the deadlock just seconds in to the second period as Alvaro Morata headed home from a Cesar Azpilicueta cross in the 46th minute.
Chelsea then doubled their lead 15 minutes later as Marcos Alonso got his head to a Cesc Fabregas corner to head home and make it 2-0 to put the hosts in control.
The Blues continued to dominate during the closing stages of the game but there were no further goals so Chelsea eased to a 2-0 win in west London.
