£50m Star Ready To Snub Man Utd & Tottenham In Favour Of Joining Liverpool
Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon is ready to snub interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham in favour of joining Liverpool
The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Ryan Sessegnon wants to join Liverpool….
Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon is ready to snub interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham in favour of joining Liverpool, according to the Express.
Sessegnon has emerged as one of the hottest prospects outside of the Premier League since coming through the youth ranks at Fulham after joining the club as a youngster.
The 17-year-old broke through as a left-back but has been playing slightly further forward this season which has led to him scoring 14 goals in 35 appearances for the Cottagers.
That incredible form has alerted several Premier League clubs with the Express claiming that Liverpool, Man Utd and Tottenham are among a clutch of top flight teams chasing his signature.
Sessegnon had the chance to leave Fulham last summer but chose to stay and sign a new contract as he wanted to play regular first team football and continue his development at Vicarage Road.
However, it’s going to be difficult for Fulham to hang on to him again this summer and the Championship side are bracing themselves for a number of offers for their star man.
United need a long-term solution at left-back as Luke Shaw has struggled to establish himself under Jose Mourinho while Tottenham could be in the market for a replacement for Danny Rose amid on-going speculation over his future.
The duo are seemingly keen on Sessegnon, however, the Express claims that the teenager favours a move to Liverpool as he grew-up a boyhood Reds fan wants to play under Jurgen Klopp.
Sessegnon would give Klopp the option of playing at left-back or further forward and there’s no doubt he’s one of the brightest talents in European football so he’d be an exciting signing for the Merseysiders.
Fulham won’t let him go without a fight as they’ll want to keep hold of Sessegnon for at least another year if they gain promotion to the Premier League next season – with the Londoners currently sitting fourth in the Championship table.
