Manchester United will be looking to avoid an upset by booking their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup when Derby County head to Old Trafford this evening.

Jose Mourinho has made nine changes from the side that drew with Wolves as Sergio Romero comes in to make his first start of the season meaning David De Gea has been rested while Diogo Dalot gets a recall at right-back with Antonio Valencia making way.

Phil Jones gets a start in defence after recovering from a hamstring injury and Eric Bailly also gets a chance to impress at the back with Ashley Young replacing Luke Shaw at left-back. Ander Herrera comes in to the midfield after returning to fitness with Fred dropping to the bench while Nemanja Matic returns after completing a one match ban.

There is no place for Paul Pogba in the squad amid reports of another bust up with Mourinho but Jesse Lingard keeps his place in the starting eleven. Juan Mata and Anthony Martial get recalls in attack and Romelu Lukaku once again leads the line up front.
