Tottenham will be looking to booking their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup when they take on Colchester this evening.

As expected, Mauricio Pochettino has made wholesale changes to the side that lost at Leicester City at the weekend with Paulo Gazzaniga the only player to keep his place in the starting eleven.

Kyle Walker-Peters returns at right-back while Ben Davies replaces Danny Rose at left-back. Davinson Sanchez is recalled to the Tottenham eleven and is partnered by highly-rated youngster Japhet Tanganga with Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld rested.

Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama come back into the Spurs midfield and are joined by youngster Oliver Skipp as Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks while Moussa Sissoko drops to the bench.

Dele Alli starts after not featuring against Leicester at the weekend while Lucas Moura is recalled with Christian Eriksen named on the bench alongside Erik Lamela and Hueng-min Son.

Harry Kane gets a well earned rest so young hitman Troy Parrott makes his Tottenham debut up front. The teenager has been impressing with the Tottenham U23s so he’ll be desperate to make an impression tonight.
