Tottenham team news update: Mourinho without 4 players for Burnley clash
Team news update: Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho will be without 4 players for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Burnley.
Tottenham will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Burnley at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Ahead of the game, Spurs have issued a team news and injury update on TottenhamHotspur.com which includes the latest on the fitness of Ben Davies, Erik Lamela, Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm.
Davies suffered an ankle ligament injury during Tottenham’s 3-2 win over West Ham last month and has already been forced to miss their last three games including Wednesday night’s defeat at Man Utd.
The left-back is expected to be out for a number of weeks so he’ll miss tomorrow’s clash with Burnley and the majority of Tottenham’s fixtures during the hectic Christmas and New Year period.
Lamela hasn’t played for Tottenham since their Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade in late October due to a hamstring injury that’s kept him out of their last eight matches in all competitions.
The Argentinean international is still continuing his rehabilitation programme so will miss Saturday’s visit of Burnley to North London and he’s joined on the sidelines by Michel Vorm – who’s still nursing a calf problem.
Tottenham will once again be without number one goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as the French international isn’t expected back in training until the early stages of 2020 after dislocating his elbow against Brighton on October 5.
Spurs didn’t suffer any fresh injury concerns during the loss at United in midweek so Jose Mourinho will be without just four players for the game against Burnley at White Hart Lane tomorrow afternoon.
Tottenham head into the weekend action sitting eighth in the table and nine points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea so they desperately need a win in order to keep alive their hopes of finishing in the top four.
