John Flanagan and Raheem Sterling: Golden Boys of Liverpool
It seems that pride has been restored on the red side of Merseyside, with a deserved 3-0 victory over Champions League chasers, Manchester City.
And credit must be given to the young John Flanagan, who stood in brilliantly for the Reds, with an absolute masterclass in a test of nerve, as he was up against the likes of Balotelli, and Dzeko, both whom are really physically imposing, and he managed to shut them up for most of the game.
This gem of a find must once again be credited to the master tactician, Kenny Dalglish, as he proved that he still had a knack of finding good youth players, after dropping Raheem Sterling and Connor Coady for an EUROPA League fixture earlier in the season.
Another fantastic prodigy we have at Melwood is the winger, Raheem Sterling who operates both as a winger and a forward. And no surprise in his position choices, as he has an amazing technical ability with the ball. A trickster who loves to juggle the ball, and he is brilliant to watch as he charges down the left wing.
It seems that Liverpool have certainly gotten their act together, now it’s time to show it. With a good season ending run in, they could set themselves up for a better next season with all their players starting to show form now. And now I conclude this post with a video of Raheem Sterling.
