Tottenham are prepared to offer Roman Pavlyuchenko as part of a player-plus-cash offer for Marseille striker Loic Remy, according to reports.
The France international striker has attracted interest from some of Europe’s top clubs after netting 25 goals in 58 appearances for Marseille, including a diving header during their remarkable 3-2 Champions League comeback against Borussia Dortmund last night.
TalkSPORT claim that Harry Redknapp has identified the former Nice ace as a January target as the Spurs boss looks to add to his offensive options and maintain Tottenham’s push for a top 4 finish this season.
Remy is contracted with Marseille until 2015 and its believed he will command a fee in the region of £20m but Redknapp is hoping to sweeten the deal by including a ready-made replacement in the form of Pavlyuchenko as well as a cash lump sum.
The Russian looks certain to move on in January after failing to secure a first team place at White Hart Lane with reports claiming he is close to a move back to his homeland, but Redknapp may have other ideas about where his future lies.
