Tottenham Transfer News: Spurs Told To Forget About £20m Striker

Tottenham would be wasting their time in trying to sign Marseille striker Loic Remy, according to the players agent.
Spurs have been linked with a move for the £20-rated French ace, and are believed to be lining up a player-plus-cash offer in January. Harry Redknapp is keen to add to his striking options and was prepared to use want-a-way striker Roman Pavyluchenko as bait to land the 24-year-old.
However, Remy’s agent Frederic Guerra has dismissed Tottenham’s hopes of signing him insisting if the Londoners did make contact, he would advise his client to remain at Marseille. Guerra went on to suggest Remy would use the upcoming Euro 2012 Championships as a shop window to attract interest in his services:
“Remy is not a player to exchange. It would be like letting a Ferrari go to then get a small car,”
“If Tottenham call me I’ll talk to them but my advice to Remy would be to remain at Marseille.”
“There is Euro 2012 and that gives you a chance to do great things in the summer – and then have 10, 15 or 20 clubs in for you,”
