Spurs currently sit 9th in the table after losing 5-2 to Arsenal last weekend but a win would see them move level on points with the Gunners in 6th. Andre Villas-Boas has handed Michael Dawson his first start of the season and he line-up alongside Steven Caulker at the back.
Emmanuel Adebayor starts his 3-game ban after seeing red in the north London derby, so Jermaine Defoe starts up front supported by Bale, Lennon and Dempsey. Hugo Lloris is preferred to Brad Freidel in goal. Here are the confirmed line-ups:
