By on October 30, 2013

Tottenaham Hotspur crept into the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup, eventually seeing off Hull City 8-7 on penalties after the game had ended 2-2 after extra time.

Gylfi Sigurdsson put the hosts ahead but an unfortunate own goal from Brad Friedel levelled things up just after half time. Hull took the lead through McShane in extra time before Harry Kane came off the bench to force penalties with a left footed effort.

With the score-board level at 7 penalties each, Kyle Walker made it 8-7 to Spurs before McShane missed the decisive spot kick to send the home side through to the quarter finals where they will now meet West Ham.
