Tottenham Hotspur take on Nottingham Forest at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

Spurs will be looking to bounce back from Sunday’s disappointing 1-0 loss at home to West Brom, which makes it four games without a win for the North Londoners in all competitions.

This poor run of form has ruined what was an encouraging start to life at Spurs for new boss Mauricio Pochettino after his move from Southampton in the summer, so the Argentine will be desperate to get their season back on track and put together a decent cup run.

Team News

Pochettino is expected to make a number of changes for the game ahead of Saturday’s North London Derby with the likes of Hugo Lloris, Younes Kaboul, Danny Rose, Etienne Capoue, Christian Eriksen and Emmanuel Adebayor all likely to be given a breather.

Michel Vorm should make his debut in goal while the likes of Ben Davies, Fazio, Kyle Naughton, Benjamin Stambouli, Aaron Lennon and Roberto Soldado should all get run-outs.

Andros Townsend is also expected to feature after shaking off a dead leg that saw him miss Sunday’s clash with WBA, but Kyle Walker remains out with a hip injury.

As for Forest, boss Stuart Pearce could also make some changes with the likes of Dan Harding, Daniel Fox, Lars Veldwijk, Jamaal Lascelles, Jamie Paterson and Ben Osborn all pushing for starts.

However, Matty Fryatt and Andy Reid aren’t expected back in training until next week while Jack Hobbs has an ankle injury.

Likely Line-Up

Key Man

Roberto Soldado: The Spaniard has yet to play a key role this season and Pochettino will be looking for him to provide the goal threat if Adebayor is rested.

Tottenham 2-0 Nottingham Forest: Despite making wholesale changes to the team, Spurs are still capable of fielding a decent side and should have too much for the Championship outfit in the end.

What team would you put out and whats your predicted score for the game?
