Tottenham Hotspur eased into the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup with a 2-0 win over Brighton at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
After a goalless first half, Spurs broke the deadlock when Erik Lamela fired home in the 54th minute following a neat one-two with Roberto Soldado.
The game was then over when Harry Kane was on hand to poke home from close range after Soldado’s effort had been saved by the Brighton keeper.
The win sees Tottenham book their place in the hat for the last eight, with the draw set to take place shortly.
