Some of the Manchester United players have been reacting on Twitter after they booked their place in the final of the EFL Cup despite losing 2-1 to Hull City last night.
United headed in to the second leg of their semi final at the KCOM Stadium holding a two-goal advantage from the first leg but they saw that lead halved when Tom Huddlestone converted from the spot after Hull had been awarded a fortunate penalty in the first half.
Paul Pogba restored United’s two-goal lead with a poked finish midway through the second half and although Hull made it a nervy final few minutes after taking a 2-1 lead in the 85th minute, United held on to secure a 3-2 aggregate win.
The victory books the Manchester giants place in next months final at Wembley where they’ll now face Southampton after they beat Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Some of the players have now been reacting on social media with David De Gea, Chris Smalling, Marcus Rashford, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata all posting messages and sharing photos with the fans following their semi final triumph.
