Manchester City will look to tighten their grip at the top of the table when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Here is the side I think Pep Guardiola will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Summer signing Ederson has settled in to Premier League life nicely so he’ll be looking to put-in another big performance this weekend.
Defence: City skipper Vincent Kompany will face a late fitness test after being withdrawn shortly before kick off against Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek having felt a muscle problem in the warm up.
However, it was only a minor issue so I think we’ll see Kompany return to the starting eleven to partner Nicolas Otamendi with John Stones still out injured.
Fabian Delph should also overcome illness to resume his role at left-back in the absence of Benjamin Mendy while Kyle Walker will return at right-back after being rested in midweek.
Midfield: City have been handed a major boost as Pep Guardiola has confirmed David Silva has been passed fit after overcoming a knock that he picked up against West Ham last weekend.
Kevin De Bruyne is also set to return after being given a breather against Donetsk on Wednesday night and the in-form Belgian international should play alongside Silva in midfield against United.
Fernandinho will sit at the base of the midfield with Ilkay Gundogan and Yaya Toure dropping out after both starting the Champions League game in midweek.
Attack: Sergio Aguero is set for a recall up front at Old Trafford after being a late substitute last time out with Gabriel Jesus the man set to make way.
Raheem Sterling has been in sensational form this season so no doubt the England international will return to the attack with Bernado Silva the man expected to make way.
That’s because Leroy Sane should keep his place in attack while youngster Phil Foden will drop out after making his first Champions League start on Wednesday night.
Here is how I think we’ll see City line-up:
