[Video] Roy Keane Slams Man Utd Star Following Shock Champions League Exit

Roy Keane didn’t hold back on his criticism of Paul Pogba after describing the Manchester United midfielder as a ‘schoolboy’ for his part in the shock defeat to Sevilla.
United crashed out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage following their 2-1 defeat to the Spaniard’s at Old Trafford on Tuesday night with Wissam Ben Yedder scoring two second half goals for the visitors.
Pogba was named on the bench for the game after missing the win over Liverpool last weekend due to a minor knock but the midfielder replaced Marouane Fellaini in the 60th minute with the tie still level at 0-0.
The French international endured a night to forget as he failed to have any positive impact on the game and has been singled out for criticism by fans and pundits over the past two days.
Keane – who made over 400 appearances for United during an illustrious career – has weighed-in by claiming Pogba is a ‘big problem’ in the team and slammed the super-star for failing to have any positive influence after coming off the bench.
The former United captain criticised Pogba for failing to cover for Antonio Valencia following his error in the build up to the opening goal and likened the Frenchman to a ‘schoolboy’.
There is a video of Keane’s rant below, or you can read the transcript:
‘Pogba is a big problem and if he can’t get in the starting 11 then you’re in trouble,’
‘You expect big players to come on and change the game. He came on last night and did nothing. We saw with the first goal, his reaction to it was like a schoolboy.
‘He doesn’t smell danger. The reason you’re part of a team is that when your team-mate makes a mistake, you cover for him and make up for it.
‘No-one is helping each other and they’re not playing like the great United teams where you have to dig a result out even on an off night. They’re playing as individuals and don’t seem capable of being able to do that.’
It’s clear Pogba is struggling to find his form but it’s down to Jose Mourinho to figure out a way to get the best out of him and the rest of the under-performing United players such as Alexis Sanchez.
