The transfer window may be closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Tottenham are linked with a Lazio duo…
Tottenham are ready to steal a march on Manchester United by launching a £100m double swoop for Lazio pair Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile, according to a report by TeamTalk.
Mauricio Pochettino is on course to leading Tottenham to another top four finish this season and he’s planning to further strengthen his talented young squad this summer.
However, finances are tight at Spurs as they prepare to move-in to their expensive new stadium so the report says Pochettino is ready to cash-in on several players to help fund his summer transfer business.
TeamTalk claim that Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose will both be sold after losing their first team places while Mousa Dembele is also being tipped to leave after failing to agree terms over a new contract.
With Victor Wanyama’s future also in doubt, Tottenham are going to need to sign at least one new central midfielder and TeamTalk are citing a report from the Mirror that claims they’ve lined-up Milinkovic-Savic as a possible replacement.
The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the hottest young talents in Europe since joining Lazio from Genk in 2015 and his potential has attracted interest from the Premier League.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Man Utd have stepped-up their interest after Jose Mourinho identified Milinkovic-Savic as a prime summer transfer target.
However, it looks like Spurs are ready to steal a march on United as the Mirror, via TeamTalk, claim the north Londoners are ready to launch a £100m double swoop for the midfielder and team mate Immobile.
Pochettino is also on the look out for another striker to support Harry Kane with Fernando Llorente set to leave following a disappointing campaign in north London and it seems Immobile has been earmarked as a replacement.
The Italian international has enjoyed a sensational season that’s seen him provide an incredible 41 goals and 11 assists in just 46 appearances in all competitions, making him one of the best marksmen in Europe.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but Milinkovic-Savic has been valued at around £90m on his own so I think Spurs will have to dig a lot deeper if they want to stand a chance of landing the Lazio duo this summer.
