Chelsea are plotting a raid on Juventus to sign Alex Sandro and Kwadwo Asamoah in what would be a £70m double swoop this summer, according to a report by TeamTalk.

Antonio Conte’s future as manager is in doubt following a disappointing campaign that’s destined to see Chelsea miss out on the top four and even an FA Cup win later this month might not be enough to save him.

Despite question marks over who’ll be in charge next season, it looks like Chelsea chiefs are still pressing ahead with their summer transfer business and a left-back is once again on the agenda.

Question marks have been raised over the future of Marcos Alonso as he’s been linked with a move back to Spain and it seems Chelsea are ready to renew their interest in Sandro.

The Brazilian wing-back was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea last summer and TeamTalk are citing a report from Tuttosport that claims the Blues are ready to try again this summer.

Juventus will be keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old but the report suggests Sandro is valued at around £70m and it appears Chelsea are ready to pay that price to pull off what could be a double swoop on the Serie A giants.

The Italian publication says the west Londoners are also eyeing a move to sign Asamoah with the Ghana international set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old has failed to agree terms over an extension with Juve despite holding lengthy talks so Chelsea are hoping to snap-up the versatile midfielder on a free transfer this summer.

Asamoah is able to play out on the wing or through the middle as a central midfielder so he’d be a very useful squad player if Chelsea were able to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
