Mateus Fernandes starts Premier League opener | Predicted Tottenham Hotspur XI vs Brentford

Tottenham Hotspur get their first full season under Roberto De Zerbi underway with a trip to the Gtech Community Stadium as they face Brentford on matchday one of the Premier League today evening at 17:30 local time.
Following a spending spree in the transfer window and a strong pre-season, the Lilywhites are expected to put up a significantly better showing in the English top division compared to the last two seasons.
Having said that, here is how their starting eleven for their first game of the campaign is likely to look like.
Goalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky is expected to start in goal for Tottenham.
Defenders – Archie Gray could be tasked as the right back as Pedro Porro continues to regain full fitness after an extended time off after the World Cup, while Andy Robertson may be employed as the left back on his official debut for the club.
Two more new defenders are also in line for their first league appearances for Spurs as Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke are favourites to partner with one another at centre back.
Fernandes and Tonali also start
Midfielders – A new-look Tottenham Hotspur midfield is expected to see £85 million summer recruit Mateus Fernandes start alongside former Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali, who was signed on a lucrative deal as well, in the double pivot.
Conor Gallagher, who is also a relatively new face at the club after arriving from Atletico Madrid in January, might be employed as the number 10.
Mikey Moore performed exceptionally during the pre-season and may be handed a start on the right flank, while Mathys Tel may be Roberto De Zerbi’s pick on the left side of attack.
Forward – Richarlison is expected to play as the number nine for the visitors.
Here is a look at Spurs’ potential starting eleven on paper.
