[Video Highlights] Norwich 1-0 Arsenal: Mannone Gaff Costs Poor Gunners

By on October 20, 2012

Arsenal fell to a 1-0 defeat away to Norwich City on Saturday evening thanks to a goal goalkeeper Vito Mannone will be disappointed with.

The Italian could only parry a long range strike back into the danger zone where Grant Holt was waiting to tap home after 2 minutes. The Gunners never got out of first gear and were largely poor throughout, barely testing the Norwich keeper. Lukaz Podolski fired wide in the first half and that’s about as close as Arsenal came to scoring.

Not the end of the world.
Had to lose sometime and was likely to have been today with such a poor performance.
    International duty is no excuse.
Norwich played with fire in their hearts, an appetite for battle and the determination to win.
What a limp, lamentable and lacklustre performance from thevArsenal
Did they even want to play let alone want to win?
We are owed an apology for this abject, dismal disappointment.
The team should all donate a day’s pay to a good cause. They didn’t earn it!

The goal was as a result of serial shambolic & abysmal defending starting from: 1). TV5 ball watching the opponent who is about to shoot at goal, thereby exposing his keeper whom we know is vulnerable. 2) Santos lack of concentration and positional awareness to know his colleagues are playing offside trap on Holt, instead he was closing in on the centerbacks. Pitiful! 3) can some1 teach Mannone how to push the ball out of goal area and stop making TV5 or BFG clean the mess everytime. Starting lineup wasn’t the best cos gervinho shouldn’t be playing right wing if he can’t do it well, so it would’ve been better to start with OX, Gervinho & poldi as front three to run norwich defense then introduce Giroud. Only arteta came up with a fight and gnabry needs to be around more…COYG!!!

U dont blame the keeper, wen the defenders dont do the job…what were the defenders looking at when the shot came in, they were all static, none of them tried to prevent the shot. It was a poor display from the whole team. They should all share the blame. Why is it that every team looking for their first win has to get it against us? last season it was blackburn, and here we are again with norwich gettin their first win off arsenal..really heartbreakin to me.

the only consolation is norwich usualy play well against good teams, we usual get beat by teams you have done nothing until they come to carrow road, you are sadly missing robin van-persie, norwich canary.
