Liverpool booked their place in the semi finals of the FA Cup after a narrow 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Wednesday night.
The two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield last month and it was a tight affair once again this time around as the game was still locked at 0-0 after 45 minutes.
However, Liverpool finally broke the deadlock in the 70th minute as Brazilian attacker Philippe Coutinho fired home into the bottom corner from a tight angle.
Blackburn pushed for an equaliser but the Reds held on to come away with a 1-0 win and book their place at Wembley in the semi-finals where they’ll now face Aston Villa for a place in the final.
