Tottenham take on Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-up and predicted score for the game

tottenham news

Tottenham will look to book their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup when they take on Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs have steadily improved this season and the North Londoners currently sit fourth in the Premier League table with some pundits tipping Mauricio Pochettino’s men to be serious title challengers this campaign.

I’m sure most Tottenham fans would settle for Champions League qualification but they will also be hoping to put a decent run together in the FA Cup as they haven’t lifted the trophy since way back in 1991.

However, the hosts have a tough task just reaching the fourth round as Leicester have been this seasons surprise package with Claudio Ranieri’s men sitting second in the table so it should be a difficult game for Spurs tomorrow.

Team News

Tottenham will have to make do without the services of Mousa Dembele as the midfielder is still nursing an ankle injury while Ryan Mason will also miss out due to his own ankle complaint.

Forward Clinton N’Jie remains sidelined with a knee problem while Alex Pritchard is close to resuming first team training after four months out with an ankle injury.

Pochettino could make some changes to his starting eleven with Kieran Trippier, Kevin Wimmer, Danny Rose, Nabil Bentaleb, Nacer Chadli and Heung-min Son all pushing for starts.

Leicester could hand Demarai Gray his debut after the winger completed his move from Birmingham last week but Jeff Schlupp and Matty James remain sidelined.

Leading scorer Jamie Vardy is unavailable after undergoing a minor groin operation.

Likely Line-Ups

Predicted Score

Tottenham 2-1 Leicester: The Foxes have stuttered in recent weeks and haven’t scored in their last three matches following last weeks 0-0 draw with Bournemouth but they are still a dangerous side who’ll give Spurs problems. However, I think Tottenham are a solid unit and they’ll have too much for the visitors in the end.

Betting Tips

Tottenham are the 8/13 favourites to win the game with the bookies but Football-Talk can get you enhanced odds of 5/1 on a Spurs win – just click here to take advantage. My prediction of 2-1 is on offer at 15/2 and I also like the look of Harry Kane opening the scoring at odds of 10/3. If you combined those two bets in a score-cast then we get very tempting odds of 18/1.
