[Video Goals] Colchester 1-4 Tottenham: Chadli Brace Helps Spurs In To 5th Round
Nacer Chadli scored twice as Tottenham Hotspur eased in to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 victory over Colchester United this afternoon.
Spurs opened the scoring in the 27th minute when Chadli fired home an excellent shot from the edge of the area before Eric Dier doubled Tottenham’s lead when his long-range effort deflected past Jake Kean for 0-2 in the 64th minute.
The North Londoners took control of the game when Chadli got his second of the game with a stooping header before Colchester made it 3-1 when Ben Davies was unfortunate to put through his own net after a shot had come back off the post in the 80th minute.
However, Tottenham ensured there would be no late drama as Tom Carroll secured a 4-1 win as he turned home Chadli’s low cross in the 82nd minute to book their place in the draw for the fifth round.
