The summer transfer window is in full swing so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Tottenham are linked with Rafa Silva…
Tottenham are set to open talks with Braga over a potential £10m deal to sign Rafa Silva with the midfielder understood to be keen on moving to England this summer, according to the Mirror.
Mauricio Pochettino has already splashed out on midfielder Victor Wanyama and striker Vincent Janssen but the Argentinean coach has confirmed he’s expecting further new faces to arrive before the window shuts.
Several names have been linked with a move to White Hart Lane in recent weeks but it looks like Pochettino is now lining-up a move for Portuguese international attacker Rafa Silva.
The Mirror claim that the Tottenham boss has held a long-standing interest in the 23-year-old and is now ready to open formal talks with Braga over a potential deal this summer.
The newspaper suggests that while Zenit St Petersburg and Porto are also showing an interest in the attacker, Silva is keen on moving to the Premier League so Spurs should be well placed to secure his signature if they can get a deal agreed with Braga.
Silva has developed in to one of the hottest prospects in Portuguese football since joining Braga from Feirense in 2013 and enjoyed a superb campaign last season having scored 12 goals as well as setting up further 8 for his team mates.
The youngster has predominantly played as a left winger but is also capable of playing anywhere across the three attacking positions behind the striker so he’d give Pochettino plenty of option if he does end up moving to north London.
The Mirror claim that following Silva’s impressive displays at Euro 2016 for winners Portugal, Braga are demanding £10m for his signature, but that actually sounds like a very reasonable deal in today’s inflated market.

We’ll have to wait and see how this develops but I think Silva would turn out to be a very shrewd piece of business if Tottenham end up signing him this summer.
