Liverpool take on Derby County at Pride Park in the third round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night. Here is the side we think Jurgen Klopp will select:
Goalkeeper: Loris Karius has returned to full fitness after recovering from a broken hand and should replace Simon Mignolet between the sticks tomorrow night.
Defence: Klopp is expected to make wholesale changes from the side that beat Chelsea last Friday night with the likes of James Milner, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne all set to be rested.
Ragnar Klavan is fit again so he should start in defence and could be joined by Mamadou Sakho as the French international needs game-time as he looks to try and resurrect his career at Anfield.
Alberto Moreno should get a run out at left-back after losing his first team place while youngster Connor Randall could get a chance to impress at right-back.
Midfield: Emre Can has returned to full training and he could get a start as he looks to regain full match fitness following an ankle injury while Lucas Leiva and Kevin Stewart may get the nod in the middle of the park with Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana all rested.
Attack: Divock Origi should come in for Daniel Sturridge up front while youngsters Sheyi Ojo and Marko Grujic could start in attack with Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane given well earned rests.
Roberto Firmino missed the win over Chelsea with a minor muscle injury but I don’t think the Brazilian will be risked tomorrow while Danny Ings will be hoping to get some game-time during the match.
Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:
What do you think of the line-up? What team would you like to see start?
