Liverpool will look to book their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.
Here is the side I think Jurgen Klopp will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: The Reds boss has confirmed that Danny Ward will be handed his first start of the season so Simon Mignolet is set to make way.
Defence: Dejan Lovren will be given a late fitness test on a back injury but should be passed fit to return and Klopp is expected to make wholesale changes to his side.
Joe Gomez could come in to the side in his preferred centre-back role with Jon Flanagan handed his first start of the new season as he works his way back in to Klopp’s plans following serious injury.
Albero Moreno could get a recall at left-back after being named on the bench for the draw with Burnley at the weekend with Andrew Robertson making way. Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ragnar Klavan could also be rested.
Midfield: James Milner could get another run-out in midfield with Jordan Henderson saved for the weekend league trip to Leicester while Gini Wijnaldum could be due a recall after being left out against Burnley.
Klopp has confirmed that young midfielder Marko Grujic will get a rare chance to impress so Emre Can will be handed a well-earned breather.
Attack: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to be handed his full debut after making three substitute appearances following his deadline day move from Arsenal.
Philippe Coutinho made his first start of the season at the weekend and he’s likely to be involved again tomorrow as he looks to improve his match fitness – although the Brazilian may only be used as a substitute.
Sadio Mane continues his suspension while Mohamed Salah should be given a rest with youngster Ben Woodburn coming in to the attack.
Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge may be left out in order to give summer signing Dominic Solanke his first start following his move from Chelsea.
Danny Ings hasn’t been selected for the under-23s tonight which indicates he should be in the first team squad against Leicester tomorrow.
Here is how we think Liverpool will line up:
