Euro Giants Ready To Sell As Man Utd Look To Sign £40m Brazilian Attacker
Manchester United are looking to sign out-of-favour winger Lucas Moura and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to strike a deal for the £40m-rated attacker
The January transfer window is now open so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, Man Utd are linked with Lucas Moura…
Manchester United are looking to sign out-of-favour winger Lucas Moura and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to strike a deal for the £40m-rated attacker, according to a report in the Express.
Moura joined PSG in a big-money deal from Sao Paulo in 2013 and at the time he was considered to be one of the most exciting youngsters in world football.
However, his time in France hasn’t gone according to plan as the 25-year-old has fallen out-of-favour under Unai Emery this season and is yet to start a single Ligue 1 game.
The Brazilian winger has made just six appearances in all competitions from the bench with the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Moura has just 18 months left to run on his current contract and with PSG needing to offload some players to meet financial fair play guidelines, the attacker is a prime candidate to leave.
It looks like a move to the Premier League could be on the cards as the Express are citing a report from The Sun that claims Man Utd are desperate to take Moura to Old Trafford this month.
The newspaper says Jose Mourinho wants to sign the winger on an initial loan deal and PSG are ready to do business if United agree to include a clause stating they will make the move permanent for £40m in the summer.
Moura has been linked with a move to China but the Express claim he’d prefer to join United and would be keen to link-up with Mourinho if it means he’ll get more regular football ahead of the World Cup.
Mourinho is expected to strengthen his attacking options this month as United have lacked creativity in the final third at times this season and Moura would certainly add a new dimension if he was to move to Old Trafford.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming days but I think Moura would be an excellent signing for United if they could get a deal agreed with PSG.
