[Video Goals] Man Utd 2-0 Derby County: Lingard Scores Stunner As Utd Progress
Jesse Lingard scored another excellent goal as Manchester United eased in to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Derby County at Old Trafford this evening.
United started brightly and could have opened the scoring early on but Lingard blasted over in the 3rd minute following some great work by Paul Pobga.
Marcus Rashford then wasted two great chances to get himself on the score-sheet as the two sides went in to the half time break all square.
Derby continued to ride their luck during the second half but United finally broke the deadlock with six minutes remaining as Lingard fired home another stunning effort from the edge of the area.
The visitors pushed for a late equaliser but United settled things in stoppage time as Romelu Lukaku came off the bench to make it 2-0 and book their place in the last four after a fine break away involving Anthony Martial.
