Brazilian Star Agrees To Join Man Utd As Mourinho Looks To Seal £22m Deal
Manchester United are hoping to seal a £22.1m deal with Paris Saint-Germain after Lucas Moura agreed to make a move to Old Trafford this month
The January transfer window is now open so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, the latest on Lucas Moura’s move to Man Utd…
Manchester United are hoping to seal a £22.1m deal with Paris Saint-Germain after Lucas Moura agreed to make a move to Old Trafford this month, according to a report in the Mirror.
Moura has fallen out-of-favour under Unai Emery this season and is yet to start a single Ligue 1 game with all six of his appearances so far this campaign coming from the bench.
The likes of Neymar, Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria are all ahead of him in the pecking order so it’s no surprise that Moura has been eyeing a move in order to rejuvenate his career.
The Brazilian international snubbed a move to United when he left Sao Paulo for PSG in 2013 but it looks like the Red Devils have renewed their interest with widespread reports in recent days suggesting Jose Mourinho has identified him as a January target.
It looks like a transfer has now moved a huge step closer to becoming a reality as the Mirror are citing a report coming from Gazzetta dello Sport that claims Moura has now agreed to move to Old Trafford this month.
The Italian publication says all that’s left is for United to agree a fee with PSG and the Premier League giants are hoping to agree terms over a deal worth in the region of £22.1m.
PSG need to offload some players in order to meet financial fair play guidelines and Moura is a prime candidate given his fringe status in the squad so you’d expect it shouldn’t be too difficult for United to agree a deal.
Mourinho needs to add some creativity to his ranks and Moura could be viewed as a potential replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan as the Armenian international is being tipped to leave after falling out of favour this season.

Moura needs a fresh start in order to boost his hopes of forcing his way in to the Brazil World Cup squad this summer so I think this proposed deal could suit all parties if United can get an agreement in place for the 25-year-old’s signature this month.
