Tottenham Ready To Trump Manchester United With £35m Winger Bid
Tottenham are ready to try and trump Manchester United by launching a £35m bid to sign Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon this summer
The January transfer window in closed so it’s time to look at those deals that didn’t get over the line and those being lined-up for the summer. Today, the latest on Ryan Sessegnon….
Tottenham are ready to try and trump Manchester United by launching a £35m bid to sign Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon this summer, according to the Telegraph.
Sessegnon came through the youth ranks at Fulham and has emerged as one of the hottest talents outside of the Premier League since breaking in to the first team set-up last season.
The 17-year-old made his name as a goal-scoring left-back but he’s moved in to a more advanced wing-back role this campaign where he’s continued to impress with 13 goals and 4 assists in his 37 appearances.

Jose Mourinho is expected to be in the market for a new left-back as a long-term replacement for Ashley Young is needed and Luke Shaw is yet to fully establish himself under the United boss.
Sessegnon is seemingly on Mourinho’s radar but Tottenham are ready to steal a march on United as the Telegraph claim the north Londoners are ready to pay up to £35m to get a deal in place ahead of the summer.
Danny Rose’s future at Spurs is in doubt as he’s yet to force his way back in to Mauricio Pochettino’s plans on a regular basis since recovering from a knee injury and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the 27-year-old leave at the end of the season.
Sessegnon would be an excellent long-term replacement, however, the newspaper report says Fulham value the teenager at closer to £50m and the Championship club will do all they can to hang on to him if they gain promotion back to the top flight.

The Telegraph claim Tottenham will test Fulham’s resolve no matter what division they are in and are confident Sessegnon will choose them ahead of the likes of Man Utd but it remains to be seen whether £35m will be enough to get a deal agreed.
