The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd are linked with Neymar…
Manchester United have made a stunning move to try and sign Neymar less than a year after he joined Paris Saint-Germain in a world record deal, according to reports in Spain via the Manchester Evening News.
Neymar made his name during a four-year spell at Barcelona where he provided 105 goals and 80 assists in 186 appearances to win a whole host of honours including 2 La Liga titles and the Champions League.
The Brazilian sensation joined PSG in a world record deal worth around £200m just last summer and he provided 29 goals and 19 assists in just 30 appearances before being ruled out for the rest of the season with a foot injury.
Neymar’s time in Paris has been a mixed bag as for all the goals and showboating, he’s reportedly unsettled following a series of bust-ups with Edinson Cavani and has been booed by his own supporters.
It’s led to speculation that Neymar could look to quit PSG after just one season with a blockbuster move to Real Madrid touted by some corners of the worlds media.
However, it looks like Madrid could have stiff competition as the MEN are citing a report from Don Balon that claims United have already put forward an offer of their own to lure Neymar to England.
The Spanish outlet doesn’t disclose any further details of the supposed offer but they say the mega move has been backed by United’s sponsors Chevrolet and Jose Mourinho has also given his approval to the proposed transfer.
A move to Old Trafford could be on the cards as the report says Neymar feels he needs to leave PSG and play in a more competitive league if he’s to win the Ballon d’Or any time soon.
United are one of the few clubs in world football who could afford to sign Neymar and the Red Devils need to bring in another forward this summer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave in June.

Obviously Neymar would be a sensational signing if they could somehow pull it off but no doubt PSG will do all they can to keep the South American super-star at the Parc des Princes for at least another season.
