Norwich City have told the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea they want £25m in exchange for the signature of hot-shot midfielder James Maddison this summer, according to the Mirror.
Maddison came through the youth system at Coventry before joining Norwich in 2016 and he’s developed in to one of the most exciting young talents outside of the Premier League over the past two years.
The 21-year-old is now a first team regular in the Norwich starting eleven and he’s provided 14 goals and 10 assists in his 41 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
His impressive form has caught the eye of clubs in the top flight as the Mirror claim that Tottenham and Chelsea are leading Man City and Everton in the chase for Maddison’s signature.
Mauricio Pochettino is expected to dip in to the market for more reinforcements this summer as he looks to add to his already talented young squad and is looks like Spurs hope Maddison could be the new Dele Alli.
Chelsea are always on the look out for the top young talent to add to their ranks and it seems the Blues are also showing a keen interest in luring Maddison to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Mirror claim that the England U21 international is ready to join a Premier League club at the end of the season but Norwich are determined to secure a huge fee for the highly-rated midfielder.
Maddison is under contract until 2021 so the Canaries are in a strong position and the newspaper says they have made it clear to potential suitors that they want £25m for the player this summer.
