[Video Goals] Cardiff 2-3 Arsenal: Aubameyang Nets Stunner As Gunners Sink Bluebirds

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette were both on target as Arsenal beat a battling Cardiff City side 3-2 this afternoon.

We began the game well and opened the scoring early on as an 11th minute Granit Xhaka corner met the head of Shkodran Mustafi and the German international powered home for 0-1.

However, just as it looked like we’d take a narrow lead in to the break, sloppy play from Xhaka gifted Cardiff possession and Roberto Camarasa was on hand to fire home the equaliser at the far post in first half stoppage time.

Alexandre Lacazette then combined well with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the Gabon international curled home a superb effort from outside the area to restore Arsenal’s lead in the 62nd minute.

Cardiff drew level once again in the 71st minute. A fortunate free-kick led to Danny Ward heading home to make it 2-2 and it was all to play for.

Arsenal restored their lead for a third time and it was a fantastic finish from Lacazette as the French hitman took Lucas Torreira’s pass with his back to goal, turned and lashed in to the top corner for 3-2 in the 81st minute.
