Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice as Arsenal got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Burnley at the Emirates this afternoon.
We started on the front foot and opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Mesut Ozil produced a moment of brilliance as he found Sead Kolasinac with a pin-point pass and the Bosnian international teed-up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to make it 1-0.
Arsenal came out strongly after the break and made it 2-0 following a flowing counter-attack that saw Alexandre Lacazette feed Aubameyang and the striker lashed home with a powerful finish.
Burnley then got themselves back in the game when Ashley Barnes – who could have been sent off earlier – fired home a loose ball in the 63rd minute after Arsenal failed to clear from a cross.
However, as Burnley pushed for a late equaliser, Arsenal wrapped-up the three points as Alex Iwobi converted from close range after some great work from Ozil.
The win sees Arsenal move level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea ahead of their clash with Leicester City this afternoon.
