[Teams] Tottenham vs Ajax: Confirmed line-ups for Champions League semi-final
Tottenham will be looking to secure a first leg advantage when they take on Ajax in their Champions League semi-final. Here are the confirmed line-ups
Tottenham will be looking to secure a first leg advantage when they take on Ajax in their Champions League semi-final at the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.
Mauricio Pochettino is without the suspended Hueng-min Son and the injured Harry Kane tonight so Fernando Llorente starts up front for Tottenham. Lucas Moura and Dele Alli support the Spaniard and Spurs have very little attacking options to call upon from the bench.
Kieran Trippier comes back in to start on the right while Jan Vertonghen is fit to return in defence after missing the defeat to West Ham at the weekend with a minor muscle issue. Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld retain their places in the back-line while Danny Rose is preferred to Ben Davies on the left – although some reports suggest he may start in midfield with Vertonghen at left-back.
Victor Wanyama is recalled in midfield after being rested at the weekend so Eric Dier drops out while Moussa Sissoko is only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench after recovering from a groin injury. Christian Eriksen also starts against his former club tonight.
Here are the confirmed line-ups:
Tottenham
Lloris, Trippier, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Wanyama, Eriksen, Dele, Lucas, Llorente.
