Liverpool get the 2019/20 Premier League campaign underway when they entertain Norwich City at Anfield tonight.

Jurgen Klopp has named an unchanged line-up from the side that started against Manchester City in the Community Shield last weekend which means Joe Gomez once again starts alongside Virgil van Dijk in the back four.

Joe Matip must therefore make do with a place among the substitutes while there is no Dejan Lovren in the squad. Trent Alexandre-Arnold and Andy Robertson occupy the full-back positions for the hosts.

Fabinho will start in the holding role with Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum keeping their places meaning James Milner and Naby Keita have to settle for places on the bench.

Sadio Mane isn’t risked from the start as he only returned to full pre-season training last weekend following his exploits at the African Cup of Nations this summer so he’ll be an option among the subs.

Divock Origi keeps his place in attack alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Xherdan Shaqiri on the bench.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Liverpool

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Origi.

Subs: Adrian, Matip, Milner, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Shaqiri, Mane

Norwich

Krul, Aarons, Hanley, Godfrey, Lewis, Trybull, McLean, Buendia, Stiepermann, Cantwell, Pukki.

Subs: Byram, Roberts, Vrancic, Leitner, Hernandez, Drmic, Fahrmann
