Liverpool begin the defence of their Champions League trophy when they take on Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo tonight.

Jurgen Klopp has received a boost after Andy Robertson passed a late fitness test on a knock which kept him out of training on Monday and the Scottish international keeps his place at left-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold once again at right-back.

James Milner starts in midfield alongside the recalled Jordan Henderson while Fabinho also keeps his place so Gini Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain drop to the bench this evening. Joel Matip keeps his place alongside Virgil van Dijk so Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren have to settle for subs roles.

Roberto Firmino comes in for the injured Divock Origi while Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane retain their places in the front three as Liverpool go with an extremely strong line-up against Napoli. Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri are named on the bench for the Merseysiders.

As for Napoli, Lorenzo Insigne gets a recall to start alongside Dries Mertens and Harving Lozano in attack while Kostas Manolas joins Kalidou Koulibably in the back four.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:
