Liverpool will be looking to avoid an upset when they take on the MK Dons in the third round of the Carabao Cup this evening.
Jurgen Klopp has made wholesale changes to his starting eleven with the likes of Adrian, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Mohamed Salah, Gini Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino given the night off.
Sadio Mane also missed out after picking up a knock against Chelsea at the weekend but he’d have been rested even if fit. Divock Origi misses out with an ankle injury while Xherdan Shaqiri is nursing a calf problem.
Caoimhín Kelleher makes his debut for Liverpool between the sticks while Ki-Jana Hoever comes into the defence alongside Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren. James Milner starts at left-back in place of Robertson.
Naby Keita comes in to make his return from injury and is joined by Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the Liverpool midfield. Youngsters Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott will support Rhian Brewster in attack.
The bench is also packed with kids as Sepp van den Berg, Herbie Kane, Luis Longstaff and Leighton Clarkson are among those named as substitutes so they’ll be hoping to make their debuts.
