Manchester United will look to build on their win over Partizan Belgrade with another positive result when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.

The 1-0 victory over Belgrade in the Europa League was United’s first away win in any competition since March and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope his side can now put together a run of results following a disappointing start to the season.

The Norwegian coach has had to deal with a lengthy injury list in recent months but United have been boosted by the return to fitness of Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jesse Lingard recently.

Wan-Bissaka and Martial came through an hour against Belgrade with the French attacker scoring the only goal of the game so they’ll be in contention to face Norwich this weekend.

Lingard was able to play the full ninety minutes in Serbia without issue after recovering from a thigh injury so the midfielder will also be hoping to keep his starting spot at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.

However, Man Utd still have a number of other injury concerns to worry about as Paul Pogba is expected to miss out once again this weekend as he continues to recover from a troublesome foot problem.

Nemanja Matic is in Dubai recovering from his muscle injury while Luke Shaw is also still working his way back to full fitness from a hamstring issue that’s hampered him for most of the season.

Axel Tuanzebe is another player who’s expected to miss the trip to Norwich on Sunday after picking up a groin injury in the warm-up ahead of United’s draw with Liverpool last weekend while Eric Bailly remains out with a long-term knee injury.

Solskjaer says the club are working hard to get them fit again and although the Man Utd boss was reluctant to put a time-scale on their return, he’s hopeful his injured stars won’t be out for too much longer.

Solskjaer told ManUtd.com:

“We’re working very hard to get them fit and, hopefully, we can get them back soon. I’m not going to put a deadline on it but it won’t be long, hopefully.”

There is some positive news for Manchester United as David De Gea is expected to return to the squad on Sunday as he wasn’t risked for the trip to Serbia after rushing back from a groin injury to face Liverpool last weekend.
